In 1990 the firm started their cooperation in the consumer market and which marked a turning point in the history of Zuccon International Project. They were commissioned by the Shipyard Ferretti – one of the most qualified worldwide in the sector of production fibreglass boats – to design a series of fibreglass production boats. In the end, this cooperation – still strong today – would lead to the design of more than 40 boats.
This cooperation with the Shipyard Ferretti also extended to other brands within the Ferretti Group. In 1996 the firm carried out extensive R & D in the field of large yachts to be mass-produced with composite materials for another production plant recently established in Italy: Ferretti Custom Line.
The initial assumption was for the use of modular moulds which can be reformatted to create products of different sizes. For Custom Line, Zuccon International Project designed – from 1996 to 2009 – eleven yachts ranging in size from the 26 metre Navetta to the almost 39 metre CL 128.
In 1998, the Ferretti Group entrusted Zuccon International Project with the design renewal for Bertram, the famous American sport-fisherman builder, who had recently been acquired by Ferretti. The planning flexibility and versatile skills of Zuccon International Project were again highlighted. Between 2000 and 2009 no less than fourteen new models were designed for Bertram, including the Bertram 510 – presented in 2000, the 630 – presented in 2004 – and the latest launched in 2009, the Bertram 540.
